A pump is a machine that transports or pressurizes fluid. It transfers the mechanical energy or other external energy of the prime mover to the liquid to increase the liquid energy. The pump is mainly used to transport water, oil, acid and alkali liquid, emulsion, suspending emulsion and liquid metal, and also can transport liquid, gas mixture and liquid containing suspended solids. 

"Valve" is defined as the device used to control the direction, pressure and flow of fluid in fluid system. The valve is a device that makes the medium (liquid, gas, powder) flow or stop in the piping and equipment, and can control its flow. The material of the valve body is different according to different process medium.
